Every MSO Olympiad follows the same trusted format — English medium, multiple choice questions, OMR based evaluation and zero negative marking. Syllabus as per NEP (2020), NCF (2023), NCERT, CBSE and various State Boards.

No. Students can register only through their schools. Direct registrations are not accepted under any circumstances.
Schools can register in two ways — fill out and courier the registration forms to the Patna mailing address, or fill out, scan and email the registration forms to info@meritsearcholympiad.in.
The registration fee is ₹200 per Olympiad per student (including TAX). Schools may charge an additional ₹30 per student per Olympiad to cover honorarium for the in-charge teacher and other expenses. No fee is payable for students with major physical disabilities or for any Indian student whose parent was martyred during defence operations.
All MSO Olympiads are conducted in English. All questions are multiple choice questions (MCQs) and there is no negative marking. Exams are conducted on OMR sheets. For Std 1 to 5: 35 questions in 60 minutes. For Std 6 to 10: 50 questions in 60 minutes.
MSO believes in stress-free exams and competition beyond books. There is no pressure to have separate study material. The syllabus for each Olympiad is described on our website, and students can practice from any book.
All MSO Olympiad syllabi are aligned with NEP (2020), NCF (2023), NCERT and CBSE guidelines, as well as various State Board curricula. Detailed class-wise syllabus is available on the MSO website.
A minimum of 5 registrations per school is required. For 5–10 registrations, the question paper will be emailed to the school's official email ID. For more than 10 registrations, question papers will be couriered to the school. Less than 5 registrations will not be accepted.
Payment can be made online via UPI, Net Banking, Debit/Credit Card or Wallet by scanning the QR code. Offline payment can be made via DD or NEFT/RTGS to Punjab National Bank, A/C No: 2921002100021466, IFSC: PUNB0292100, Branch: Rk Avenue, Kadam Kuan, Patna-3. DD should be in favour of Be For Nation Trust, payable at Patna. Please do not pay in cash.
OMR sheets should be returned to the Patna mailing address (403, Ganesh Narayan Apartment, Saguna More, Patna 801503) within 7 days of the exam date. MSO will not evaluate any answer sheets received after the deadline.
Results are announced about 5 weeks after the answer sheets are received. They are sent to the respective schools and are also uploaded on the MSO website.
